How is environmental science different from other types of science such as biology and chemistry?

Environmental science is different from other sciences such as biology and chemistry in many ways. For example things such as the chaos theory. Making patters out of absolute chaos. In a way it is less physical, and its seems like an outline of some biology things. I guess not as in depth but they just seem different.
